Found Tibet Discovery online and from the start of email exchange, I found Elena, very competent. Actually, found a cheaper Tibet tour on a different site, but opted to stay with Tibet Discovery because of exceptional way this company handles their communication with clients. Am very satisfied from start to finish.

Whenever I send email, there will always be a prompt reply no matter what time of the day....just wonder if they ever sleep...???? Once, Elena couldn't give reply to my email, surprisingly there was Bruce who also was so prompt in replying to all my queries. Just amazing how their staff work and treat their clients.

The original schedule was changed to a week later due to some visa problems, but to make it up for the inconvenience, Elena upgraded our hotel accommodation in Chengdu, as well as our tour. We had a private tour. Top this, Elena went out of her way to treat us to a dinner in her home. What a sumptuous meal Elena, her mom and her friend made for us prior to our Tibet train trip. She and her brother even took us to the market nearby their home so we could buy food for the train trip. She made us feel like a family not just clients. How awesome is that!!! You will never find a sales agent like her in any part of the world, only in Chengdu! Additionally, she kept track of us while in Tibet....making sure everything was in order. We also had a great tour guide Norbu in Tibet.
Tibet Discovery is one company who takes serious care of their clients and the business. Thank you Elena, and Bruce.

Thank you for arranging our trip to Tibet, a very different and wonderful travel experience.

 Yo Yo was a very knowledgable and helpful guide and we enjoyed her company.  She was very patient with all of our history and cultural questions.  

 We were very thankful to Yo Yo and all of her efforts to get us a shared compartment on the train.  In retrospect, we were a bit disapointed that we spent our last afternoon and evening in Beijing, missing meal times to devoting all our time resolving the train issue.  We are glad we did insist on travelling together as it would have not been at all enjoyable to be separated as we were the only foreigners on the train. (language).  

 Before I make any submissions to Trip Advisors, etc, I would like to bring up our tour in Tibet. Tanjing was very pleasant and knowelgable, his English acceptable, however we missed several attractions.  On Day 2 we started at 10:30 and back at the hotel at 2:30, missing the Sara Monestary.  Tanjing told us it was under repair and not worth seeing.  Later in the evening, while talking with other tourists they mentioned how much they enjoyed the debating monks.

We arrived home in LA last night. We had a great time in Tibet and China. You were the most helpful and efficient and made our trip a success. We were so happy to meet you in Chengdu.

Now that we are home, can you send us another copy of the trip evaluation form? We want to make sure that your bosses know what a great job you and the other "Chengdu Girls" did in helping us.

All of the accommodation that we stayed in was fine, we found the rooms were clean and all staff very friendly. In fact we both thought the accommodation was better than we had been expecting especially the hotel in Lhasa. The guide that we had was very good, his knowledge on Tibet customs and religion was amazing and he was happy to share his knowledge with us. The trek he looked after us well. We were also very happy to some small changes he suggested to the itinerary to spread some of the sightseeing out a bit, we also had a nice amount of time for ourselves.

We felt very well looked after whilst in Chengdu and Bifengxia and will no doubt keep in touch with our tour guide Melody via email. Also, the driver was punctual and a good driver. Norbu and the driver were superb. Norbu looked after us very well and willingly shared some of his huge knowledge of the mountains etc. We were very sad to leave Lhasa behind and to have to say goodbye to Norbu and the driver - There was good camaraderie in the truck.
