1. How to choose right destinations for your family tour?

Tibet is vast, but not every place in Tibet is ideal for family travel maybe because of harsh weather, inaccessibility or other facts. So what you should consider seriously before deciding the final destinations for your family plan? 1. is the destination safe? 2. is it too far? 3. Does the destination offer many interesting things to do? 4. What is the accommodation condition? 5. What about the dinning?

Based on our local experience and knowledge, we recommend Lhasa, Yamdrok Lake, Gyantse and Shigatse for you because they are rich in culture and landscape, and have better hotels and restaurants. Besides, these destinations are not very far away from Lhasa.

2. Are there some family-friendly activities in Tibet?

To be honest, Tibet doesn’t have as many flexible choices for family with kids as other hot destinations in China, such as Beijing, Shanghai, and Chengdu. There is no large amusement park like Disneyland, Happy Valley, or modern ocean parks, safari parks, in Tibet because of laggard economy and plateau environment. But what Tibet can offer is unparalleled, and only can be experienced in Tibet.

1. Learn a vivid lesson of Tibetan history and Buddhism culture with your children; 2. Experience the real Tibetan living and even be a Tibetan for a day – making handicrafts, such as thangka, bracelet, etc., eating Zanba, drinking buttered tea… 3; Take your children to make friends with local Tibetan kids; 4. Explore the featured landscape which you can only see in Tibet.

7. When is best time for a family trip in Tibet?

Since only Lhasa and nearby regions are recommended for family travel with kids, so you can bring your family here in any period of the year. Tourism gets busy usually from April to October. Winter is the shoulder season.
