bus from xigatse/ tingri to kathmandu
Hi,
I'd like go go EBC and afterwards to Kathmandu. Since your tours are going back to Lhasa, I want to ask if there are any public busses going to Kathmandu from tingri or shigatse? so I would just quit the tour in one of those cities and continue to Kathmandu. Best regards. Chi-Ho

Hi Chi-Ho,

Thanks for your message. I am sorry to tell you that there is no bus to Kathmandu from Shigatse or Tingri. Besides, the Tibet-Nepal Border is not open for tourists because the roads are still under reconstruction from the damage of Nepal earthquake in 2015.

After the EBC tour, you have to transfer back to Lhasa to take flight or train out Tibet. You can also take flight leaving Tibet from Shigatse to Chengdu.
