Transportation Between Nepal from Tibet

The best way to travel to Nepal from Tibet, or from Nepal to Lhasa is overlanding driving along the Sino-Nepal Friendship Highway. It is the only international highway in Tibet, 934 km in length, starting at Lhasa, going through Shigatse, Lhatse, Tingri, Mount Everest, and ending at the border. To travel between Nepal and Tibet, foreign travelers have to check through Gyirong Port at the border.
Usually, it takes 7~9 to travel between Kathmandu and Lhasa, and you will visit the most fascinating landmarks along the way, such as Mount Everest, Palcho Monastery, Palcho Monastery, Yamdrok Lake...
Flights
Currently there are daily flights operating between Kathmandu and Lhasa, usually two flights from Kathmandu to Lhasa, and two flights from Lhasa to Kathmandu in tourism peak season(June to October). The fly duration is about 1.5 hours. In the low seasons, there might be less or no daily flights between Kathmandu and Lhasa.
