We have provided terms and condition in other to keep this web site working well for everyone. Please read all terms and conditions carefully. Usage of the site shows agreement with the term. We hope you enjoy the site and looking forward to serving your travel needs.

1. Pricing Details

All our prices are quoted in USD. Reference exchange rate of USD 1= RMB 6.80. The final quotation will be adjusted according to the latest real-time exchange rate. All prices and prices ranges are subject to change without notice, which results from unstable fluctuation of currency sometimes, so it is highly recommend that you make full payments as soon as possible so that in case of any fluctuation of currency, the loss will be absorbed by TibetDiscovery.com. 

If you have children traveling with you, the prices for children who are under 2 years will be 10% of the full payment; and children between 2 and 11 years old (including 2 years old and 11 years old) will be offered a better price; and children at 12 years old or above will pay the full price.

2. Reservation

It is very easy to book a tour through TibetDicovery.com, including Tibet tour, and other China cities tour. Check the following booking methods and process:

1) Reach us and Tell Your Requirements

  • Phone Booking: you are always welcome to contact of professional travel consultants through phone for enquiries and also booking of tours after a regular business working hours or weekends and official holidays.
  • Email Booking: Reservation can be made through this e-mail address: Info@TibetDiscovery.com and once received one of our travel consultants will contact you as soon as possible.
  • Online Booking: You can use our Quick Booking or Enquiry form showing your full name, E-mail address, nationality and also trip details which are optional. And one of our experienced local or international travel consultants will contact you within 24 hours to handle the tour products you’ve selected from our website.

2) Get a Quotation from Our Travel Consultants

After you reach us and tell us your favorite tour or requirements, your travel consultant will make a plan according to your personal needs and interests, and then send you the quotation with the detailed itinerary.

3) Amend Your Tour to the Best

After receiving the quotation and suggested itinerary, if you have any problems or want to make some changes to your trips, feel free to let travel consultants and they will always be patient to offer you the most helpful suggestions.

4) Confirm Your Tour and Make the Payment

After all the details are clear and agreed by you, it’s time to confirm the booking. A deposit of 30% of the total price of your package tour is required. The amount is subject to change, depending on your group size and itinerary length. Your travel consultant will discuss with you and adjust it accordingly. Upon receipt of the deposit, we’ll secure your reservation and process your final booking immediately.

We highly recommend you that your reservation can be made 30-50 days before the actual traveling date. A letter of confirmation will be sent to you through e-mail as soon as your booking is confirmed informing you of the proposed flights, hotels and your trip details.

3. Payment Requirement

Tibetdiscovery.com accepts several currencies, including US dollars, Euro or Chinese RMB. You can pay for your Tibet tour by the following methods:

PayPal: PayPal can be used whether you have a PayPal account or not. If you get a PayPal account, you can login in your account and pay the bill directly to your account balance or the bank cards bound with your account. If you don’t have one, there is no need to register. It is available to use your credit card or master card to pay the bill with necessary information.

Credit Cards: Credit Cards can be used to pay the bill to us online via PayPal, including Master, Visa, Discover and American Express Cards. We also accept payment by credit cards with a letter of Credit Card Payment Authorization

Western Union: It is an option to use Western Union if PayPal and Credit Card are unavailable. If you are in China already, please make payment with other methods.

Wire Transfer: Wire Transfer is also available to make payment but it needs 2~5 or more days for us to receive your money.

4. Name Changes, Cancellations, Refunds

Reservations and tour package components are not transferable. We will make a reasonable effort to accommodate changes to guest names prior to departure provided that at least one member of the originally-booked party travels; however, we reserve the right to pass on to you any third party costs, we incur in so doing.

We would feel sorry if you have to cancel your booking tour, but we understand the majority do so out of necessity. Once a deposit or partial/full payment has been made, cancellations will only be accepted by writing and scanning of signature to us. Cancellation terms will be applied based on the date that the written cancellation is received.

Period of written notice of cancellation charge per person:

More than 30 days 10% of the full payment
30-15 days

20% of the full payment (as non-refundable deposit)

14-7 days 30% of the full payment
6-2 days 50% of the full payment
Less than 48 hours no show or after arrival 100% of the full payment

Refunds will be issued within 30 to 60 days of receipt, written notice of cancellation. Refunds for payments made by credit card are subject to an additional 3.5% fee. No change of names or substitutions is permitted. No refund or cancellation fees will be waived due to death or sickness.

To be noted that there will be NO Cancellation Fee even if a written cancellation notice is received within 30 days after we have received your full payment on condition that we keep and transfer the full payment to cover the cost of your future booking with TibetDiscovery.com for China tours within 18 months. If your future booking in our updated costs would cause a reduction against your full payment, we will not make any refunds. If the future book exceeds the original cost, we reserve the right to update the new price and charge the extra payment.

Very Important Notice:

  1. 1. After the trip of your holidays or tours or traveling have commenced, we are unable to refund any amount for unused services due to your inability to participate, early departure, late arrival, or missed days on tours.
  2. 2. For individual hotel reservation, booking could only be confirmed upon the receiving of the payment to TibetDiscovery.com account number. There will be no refund for any change & cancellation prior to 48 hours before check-in.

5. Eligibility

Children below the age of 18 require permission from their guardian before making a reservation. We recommend that a notarized letter be written by the parents or non-traveling parent granting authorization to travel including the dates of travel. We also suggest that you contact the appropriate consulate and airlines because they may have additional requirements.

For the purposes of TibetDiscovery.com trips, an infant is defined as anyone who is under the age of 24 months for the entire duration of their trip. A child is defined as anyone between the ages of 24 months and 11 years for the entire duration of their trip.

6. Included and Not Included

Our provided tour service includes an English-speaking guide, tickets for listed attractions and activities, transportation, accommodation and meals noted in the itineraries. The quoted price is based on the twin sharing rooms for accommodation (sharing guesthouses and tents in remote areas) and it defaults to economic class seat of the flights. If you want to upgrade your room types or seat classes, the price will be changed accordingly.

Personal items such as telephone calls, cell phones, mini bar, laundry, beverages or alcohol are not included. This will be billed to you before leaving the hotel or restaurant. Also portage at airports, excess baggage fees and passport or visa fees, and Airport Taxes are NOT included in our tour packages unless indicated. Tickets for optional attractions and activities need to be paid by tourists as well.

7. Meals

In our tour itineraries, B/L/D stands for breakfast/lunch/dinner respectively. At TibetDiscovery.com, all tours in Beijing and Xian include daily breakfast at hotel and lunch in selected restaurants. In other destinations including Tibet, only breakfast is covered. Lunch and dinner are not included as we prefer to give the freedom to our clients to try the local food by themselves. Breakfast is usually served at the hotel. Dinner may be served at a local restaurant too. Although we cannot guarantee special meal requests but we will try our best to provide you with your special needs, not only meal but also adjacent or connecting rooms, bed size and dietary needs.

8. Participation of Program

In order to make a good tour for most tourists, TibetDiscovery.com and suppliers contracted for services reserve the right to refuse to accept or retain any person whose behavior is deemed likely to affect the smooth operations of a tour, or adversely affect the enjoyment or safety of other tourists.

9. Passport, Visa and other Travel Documents

A valid passport with Chinese visas or permits is required for you traveling on our programs. If you do not have a valid passport, please contact your closest passport office or see Passport Information. The passport must be valid at least 6 months after the return date. All such documentation is the sole responsibility of yours, though our travel consultant may assist you in applying for the necessary travel documentation upon your request. Tibetdiscovery.com accepts no responsibility or liability whatsoever for your failure to obtain appropriate documentation.

10. Alteration of the Itinerary

Before the itinerary is confirmed, any new ideas and alterations can be discussed and processed freely. Our travel consultant will try their best to fulfill your demands but all the changes are subject to availability and can’t be guaranteed, and you need to pay the loss or additional cost caused by the changes.

We make every effort to operate tours as the letter of the confirmation listed. However, we reserve the right to modify the itinerary, or substitute the activities, hotels, meals or transportation as we deem necessary. We also have the right to cancel a trip at any time prior to its commencement for some reasons, like unforeseen circumstances, or other circumstances beyond our control. In these cases we will re-book you on a different day. If we are unable to rebook you, we will issued a full field claim.

11. Luggage Allowance

The regulations of the General Administration of Civil Aviation of China states that, the free checked-in baggage allowance within China is 20kg (44 pounds) for the economy class, 30kg (66 pounds) for the business class, and 40kg (88 pounds) for the first class, plus limited carry-on luggage within 5kg (11 pounds) for Economy Class and Business Class and 5kg*2 pieces for First Class. Excess baggage charges are the sole responsibility of yours. Regulations within China specify that all suitcases must be correctly-packed, well-locked and tied up. Failure to follow this regulation may result in refusal by airport staff to load suitcases onto the aircraft.

12. Medical Issues

TibetDiscovery.com reserves the right to decline any trip participants whose condition, in our opinion, may affect the health, safety or enjoyment of other participants. You are solely responsible for checking the safety and security conditions, vaccination, and other health requirements of Chinese governments. You must also note that we require a doctor’s certificate stating that you are fit to travel, without blood pressure and heart condition.

14. Complaints and Claims

When you feel unsatisfied with any service we have provided, please inform your tour guide or travel consultant immediately to avoid similar problems happening again. In the event of complaints or claim for compensation, you must inform us at least within 30 days after your tour ends. The relevant receipts and substantiating evidence need to be attached to the letters.

No claim for delay, detention, personal injury, illness, emotional distress or death of a guest, or for loss of or damage to any of your property may be brought against us unless you provide written notice of same to us within 6 months after the date of the Tours upon which such claim is based (within 30 calendar days after the termination of the tour for a claim of property loss or damage) and no legal action may be brought against us for any damages.

Tibetdiscovery.com holds the final explanation right of the terms and conditions, and reserves the right to modify or rescind them in whole, or in part at any time with or without notice.
