Biography

Hi, I’m Stephanie, a travel consultant. I love this job because I love travelling.

I always enjoy exploring new places. Travelling to me is not only for beautiful sceneries, but more about discovering myself, knowing myself, and decoding the subtle relationship between me and the world.

But what most interests me is to listen to you, my dear customers, about your trips. I shall listen to you from the beginning to the end. Before and during your trip, I shall listen to all your needs, no matter how trivial they are and try my best to meet them. After your trip, I shall listen to you sharing your traveling experience about people, food, history, religion etc. Listening whole heartedly to you all the time is my constant promise.

  1. When is the best time for Tibet tour?

It is suitable for travel to Tibet from April to early November, and the best time is August and September. But if you only stay in Lhasa, you can go there any time of the year. Get real time weather report in different places of Tibet.

  2. When is the best time for Everest tour?

Early May and early October are the best time to visit Mt. Everest. Due to the clear weather, you have great chance to see Mt. Everest's true face (if you are lucky). From December to February, you'd better not to go to this area because it is too cold - except you are real Great Adventure People.

  3. Can I travel with children?

Tibet may not be an ideal destination for young Children. The climate and generally harsher conditions in Tibet may not be ideal for young children. The sights and attractions are not those which children like to visit and facilities will be very primitive. If you do decide to bring your young child to Tibet please ensure that you bring all your child's daily needs with you.

  4. Are the Tibetan dogs are dangerous?

Tibetan dogs are dangerous. Do not approach any stray or wild dogs you see and carry a stick if you plan to wander off on your own or at any time after dark.

  5. What kind of Tibet travel documents I need?

Besides a valid passport and a valid Chinese visa, you need two different kinds of permits for traveling in Tibet: the entry permit (TTB permit) and the Aliens' travel permit (if you want to visit the unopened area in Tibet). Click here to read more about "Tibet visa" and how to get them.

    Hi Stephanie,

Just wanted to let you know I had a wonderful experience in Tibet and thank you for organizing this for me! Everything went well and the guides were nice too.

    1. The travel consultant did a very good job answering my emails and trying to solve all my requests and problems.

    2. About the tour guides, my first guide i don't remember his name, was ok, nothing to complain about and very professional, but i preferred a bit more the second guide who got me back to Lhasa from Shigatse, i think her name was something like Chin'me. And i also like very much my third guide who took care of my on my last free day in Lhasa, Tenzin i think was his name. They all had good knowledge about buddhism, i really liked that they could explain many things in the monasteries.

    3. Yes, i would recommend your company. The services were flawless and the accommodation and vehicles very nice, everything was good quality with a good price.

    Best regards,

    Ioana Camelia Achim

    Hello Stephanie,

We booked a 5 day Lhasa and surrounding tour with focus on culture, history and Buddhism. Stephanie Kuang really helped us to put the programme together and the service was easy, straightforward and efficient. I highly recommend Tibet Discovery Tours.

We had a fantastic guide in Lhasa, a lady called Tayang who was very knowledgeable, motivated and engaged.

We will cherish our memories from this trip forever.

    Many regards,

    Elena
