  1. When is the best time for Tibet tour?

It is suitable for travel to Tibet from April to early November, and the best time is August and September. But if you only stay in Lhasa, you can go there any time of the year. Get real time weather report in different places of Tibet.

  2. When is the best time for Everest tour?

Early May and early October are the best time to visit Mt. Everest. Due to the clear weather, you have great chance to see Mt. Everest's true face (if you are lucky). From December to February, you'd better not to go to this area because it is too cold - except you are real Great Adventure People.

  3. Can I travel with children?

Tibet may not be an ideal destination for young Children. The climate and generally harsher conditions in Tibet may not be ideal for young children. The sights and attractions are not those which children like to visit and facilities will be very primitive. If you do decide to bring your young child to Tibet please ensure that you bring all your child's daily needs with you.

  4. Are the Tibetan dogs are dangerous?

Tibetan dogs are dangerous. Do not approach any stray or wild dogs you see and carry a stick if you plan to wander off on your own or at any time after dark.

  5. What kind of Tibet travel documents I need?

Besides a valid passport and a valid Chinese visa, you need two different kinds of permits for traveling in Tibet: the entry permit (TTB permit) and the Aliens' travel permit (if you want to visit the unopened area in Tibet). Click here to read more about "Tibet visa" and how to get them.

    Dear Lyn,

It is our last night in Lhasa and we are already missing our fellowship. We have had such a great voyage in Tibet and will recommend it to everyone. We are especially pleased with our tour guide Julia who had very good knowledge about all things and could easily answer all our questions. She speaks very good English and explains Tibetan culture with passion. We found Julia to be extremely kind and considering and she went out of her way to make sure everybody was comfortable. Also she is always in a good mood and very patient. She had excellent recommendations for us to shop for local things and where to enjoy Tibetan cuisine. We also could not be happier with our driver 雪域之子 who was perfectly professional, made everybody feel safe on the road and sure that he would get us to our destination every time. Also we enjoyed his warm presence and effort to make us feel good, always ready, always on time, carrying our things and always with a smile.
We have had the time of our lives and we really want to thank you for making it happen for us. Hopefully we will be back soon.

    Best regards,

    Andrés

    Hi Lyn,

Tour was amazing! We really enjoy it and definetely we would reccomend you.

Oye guide was awsome, he is really prepared to explain all history about the Tibet and buddism. He was so helpful till the last minute!! Also driver was really kind.

Maybe my only suggestion, is that you should include some local actual life attraction or sightseeing, that is not related to religion, so you can get to know how is Lhasa now a days, apart from religion.

    Thanx for everything!!

    Hello Lyn !

I returned to Canada just yesterday after a wonderful 3 week journey through China and Mongolia.

I must say that the highlight of the whole trip was the 4-day-3-night cruise down the Yangtze !  The 'Century Sun' is a very modern cruise ship that provides an excellent level of service and comfort for a relatively modest cost.  There was a good mix of western travellers, tour groups and Chinese passengers on board the ship so it was also a very good 'multi-cultural' travel experience as well.  All the officers and crew on the ship worked very hard to make sure that every passenger enjoyed their 4 days on the Yangtse:  the cabins were extremely comfortable and well appointed, the ship was kept spotlessly clean, the buffet meals were really exceptional and the shore excursions and side-trips only added to the overall excellence of the cruise.  It was an outstanding travel experience and I would have no hesitation in recommending you, Tibet Discovery or Yangtse-River-Cruises to anyone.

It was unfortunate that my original plan to travel to Tibet had to be cancelled but the cruise down the Yangtse more than made up for that initial disappointment.

I would like to record my appreciation for the very efficient and professional manner in which (you) have handled all aspects of my booking and ticketing.  You are a fine ambassador for your company and deserve every credit for providing a first-class level of service and complete customer satisfaction.  I am very grateful.

    With all good wishes

    Dear Lyn,

Thank you for following up and sorry for not being in touch for a while. My group has been back safe and sound.

For the trip in Lhasa, three out of four team members of my group were altitude sickness, that caused to some delay in the morning of day 2. However, after being treatment by doctors, they recorvered and continued with the trip.

We enjoyed the trip in Lhasa and were fine with the arrangement. Especially, we are happy and appreciate the support of the tour guide - Mr. Lu during the trip. He is very enthusiatic and knowledgeable. Lu and the driver also supported us to find a phone, that we thought was lost during the trip. All are great memories and experience for us.

Last but not least, thank you for your support throughout the time. We definitely will recommend my friends and family should they want to come to Lhasa/China.

We will share some photos that was taken during the trip later on.

    Have a great day Lyn.

    Hi Lyn!

We absolutely enjoyed the phenomenal trip you had planned for us. We are still trying to get back on US time (we got home early Sunday morning!). I already have a friend looking to plan a trip who wanted me to pass your info on to him. Once we get back on track this week I will be sending it his way. I couldn't have asked for a better, more organized trip! Even with the flight change issue, it was nothing for us to worry about, you took care of it all. The hotels and of course our guides were fantastic! When we make our next trip, I most certainly will be in contact!

    Thank you,

    Stephanie
